For most artists, we don’t always start out in the art world. We either fell in love with it as a hobby, or it came completely out of left field and took us by surprise. 

If you’ve listened to the show before, you know that for most of my life, I didn’t even think about art. I sure as hell didn’t see myself as an artist. That is until I got the itch to pick up a paintbrush and actually tried it. Then I was hooked. 

This week’s guest had a similar experience, and I hope you’ll tune in because I think her story is something a lot of us artists can relate to. 

Allow me to introduce Studio Elite alum, Meribeth Privett!

Meet Meribeth Privett

Meribeth is a Houston-based artist (one badass artist, if I may add). If I could sum up what her presence is like, I’d say do not let her soft voice fool you…this girl is powerful AF. She’s both soft and strong, which ALWAYS makes for great art. Her work focuses mainly on intuitive abstract expressionism, and finding personal growth through the journey of creating. 

I can’t wait for y’all to hear this episode! We talk about:

• Putting yourself out there even when you’re an introvert
• Working with the flow of your art, not against it (AKA what you think it “should” be)
