From Art to Life: Lessons Learned in 2024

This week, I’m bringing you a special edition of the Honest Art Podcast to celebrate the end of an unforgettable year. As I reflected on 2024 — the ups, downs, and all the lessons — I realized just how much I have to be grateful for.

First and foremost, I’m thankful for this community. Slightly rebellious, unapologetically playful, and endlessly kind, you’ve shown up week after week, and it has meant the world to me. Thank you for being part of this journey.

When I look back on 2024, there’s one word that sums up my growth as an artist this year: self-worth.

My 2024 Recap

I can confidently say I’m not the same person I was in January 2024. This year, I met so many different versions of myself — the optimist, the angry Jodie, the kid who just wanted to feel safe, the rebellious teen. Each one played a part in shaping who I am as I step into 2025.

I explored what I truly believe is possible for me — and discovered that the possibilities are endless. It felt like stepping into a whole new version of myself, as though I were writing a memoir without realizing I was living it.

So on this week’s podcast, I dive into:

• How unexpected financial situations showed me what I really believe is possible
• The power of friendships — from forming new ones to deepening the ones that matter most
• Why it’s so important to believe people when they show you who they are
• The amazing, beautiful moments I’ve shared inside this community

Every challenge, every ending, every uncomfortable truth — it all turned out to be for the best. And I can’t wait to share it all with you on the show.
