Emerging Artist Caleigh Parsons’ Artist Journey and Growth 

Earlier this year, I hosted the Honest Art Workshop in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I love these workshops for so many reasons, but mainly because I get to meet and connect with incredible artists, like Caleigh Parsons, my guest on this week’s episode!

She’s one of those people you meet and instantly click with. Not only is she a great artist, but she’s also doing so many cool things while being a wife and a mom. She is making MOVES, but would you be surprised to learn that she didn’t start painting until a few years ago?

In her 40s, Caleigh is proving once again that it’s never too late to start.

It’s never too late to start your artist journey 

Caleigh hasn’t been an artist very long, but when I tell you she’s amazing, believe me! 

She grew up around art — in fact, several members of her family were artists too. But she was always surrounded by the product, not the process. She had tried painting earlier in life, but it never quite stuck. After owning a gallery for just a year and having more opportunities to see the creative process, it finally clicked for her.

I think sharing stories like hers on this show — stories of artists in the middle of their journey, going for it — is so important.

In this episode, we talk about A LOT, but mostly:

• What held her back from creating art for so long
• The creative process and evolution of your work
• How monumental community is for EVERY artist, even as an introvert
• Not being afraid to make your own opportunities
