5 Things to Do Today to Enhance Your Art Sales & Creativity 

To build a successful art biz, you probably already know that you need to have the business skills down (and the art skills, of course). Because you want to earn a living, right? You know that things like marketing, social media, getting into galleries, and maybe even selling prints are all crucial for growing and reaching that next level. 

But what if I told you that business isn’t the only answer? And no…it’s not improving your skillset either. 

It’s about getting in touch with what’s on the inside, so you can create your best and most honest art. That’s right, I’m talking about the spiritual side of running an art biz. 

Because let’s face it, to keep things truckin’ along, you need all three — art, biz, AND soul. And here’s why. 

How spiritual practices can help boost our creativity

Now, before you think what I’m talking about is another “Jodie-ism,” plenty of other people talk about how much developing a spiritual practice has helped them build their business. People like Beyonce, Steve Jobs, and Oprah have touted the benefits. (And honestly? If it’s good enough for Oprah, it’s good enough for me.)

Connecting with yourself helps you create more honest art, and also helps you connect with others. We spend less time trying to bypass the things that make our art raw and real. 

And in turn, we spend more time acknowledging what’s already going on in our noggins, leading to better, more long-term success (read: no burnout from trying to force creativity and connection). 

That’s why in this episode, I’m taking a look at five things that can help us build spiritual practices and boost creativity. Things like:

• Journaling 
• Nature 
• Affirmations 
• Abundance Meditation
