From Scrolls to Sales: Attracting Real Art Collectors on Instagram

Social media might feel like a giant time suck full of cringe dances, political rants, and influencers hawking protein powder. But for artists? Instagram is the most powerful free tool we’ve ever had to reach real collectors. 

Here’s the kicker: most of us avoid it because we’re scared. Scared of being seen. Scared of bragging. Scared of looking “too much”. But that fear is costing you sales. 

I’ve sold more paintings on Instagram than in galleries, and in this episode, I’m spilling everything I’ve learned about how to sell art on Instagram (without selling your soul).

Why Instagram Works for Artists

Your Instagram feed is your portfolio, your resume, and your storefront. Collectors, consultants, and galleries are already there, scrolling with their wallets in hand. If you’re not showing up, you’re invisible. 

But showing up doesn’t mean dancing on Reels. It means blooming like a sunflower … sharing your paintings, your process, and your personality so the right people can find you.
