You Can’t Fake It: The Power of Artist Identity In a Crowded Art World

When your art doesn’t feel like you, it’s time to pivot. Why? Because your unique voice, your artist identity, is the most important thing about your art. 

The key to creating art that sells isn’t just about mastering techniques, but about knowing the very core of who you are as an artist. In a world saturated with beautiful creations, I’ve come to realize that an artist’s unique identity is the secret weapon they often overlook. 

And the truth is, knowing it (or not) can make or break your growth. 

Your Artistic Identity is Crucial for Success

This isn’t about creating a finished piece of art. It’s about the authentic self-expression that brings it to life, and through it, speaks to others. In this episode, I explained that understanding your artist identity – a combination of your values, beliefs, lived experiences, and voice – is crucial for everything from preventing burnout to dramatically increasing sales and confidence.
