Size Matters: 6+ Tips To Adjust Going Up or Down In Canvas Size 

Does size matter? Really? When it comes to your art…you betcha. 

The truth is, when we create bigger works of art, we have to approach them differently. 

There are so many things to consider—like the size and quality of your brushes, how to set up your space when painting, how to ship it, and even how to price it (so it sells!). It’s not just a matter of wanting to create bigger work. There’s a whole logistical process that goes into it, too. 

How to size your art

I’ve noticed a lot of artists tend to think that because they’ve been doing this for a few years, they need to size up to level up. But that’s just not true. 

Size up if you must, but remember that there’s a lot to take into consideration. Which is exactly what I’ll be covering in this episode. We’ll get into:

• The most profitable size of art (from a gallerist perspective)
• Why pricing is harder with bigger pieces of art
• How to size up your tools
