One of my favorite parts of being an artist will forever be the connections I make along this journey — especially when it comes to the students I teach in my programs, like Studio Elite. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching people find their “center” with their work — the thing that makes every brush stroke worthwhile. The thing that makes it honest.

For some, that’s learning how to believe in themselves. For others, it’s a safe spacehouse during a hard time. But for Marsha Nieland and DeAnne Williamson, it’s always been about healing. And I’m so excited for you to come along with me and hear how Studio Elite has helped them find their center.

Finding healing through honest art

Part of what makes honest art honest is learning what it means to you. Over the years I’ve been teaching, I’ve realized that loving art typically has little to do with wanting to be “creative” or pick up a fun hobby. While it may start that way, it’s always much deeper than that. 

That’s why in this episode, Marsha, DeAnne, and I talk about: 

• Everything they learned inside Studio Elite
• How that helped direct and guide them to make their own honest art
• Using art to express what you don’t have the words for and to find healing at the end of it all
