How to Craft an Artist Statement That Drives Sales

Let’s face it, the words “artist statement” or “bio” are words we artists love to ignore. Working on crafting a statement feels like an administrative purgatory of sorts. It’s something all of us have put off at one point or another. 

But this small piece of writing is actually a super powerful tool for getting your art in front of the right people, and forming deeper connections with your audience. It’s something every artist needs in their toolbelt.

Why You Need an Artist Statement

Why do you need an artist statement and bio? Because they leave a lasting impression on gallerists, collectors, and other viewers, opening doors to new opportunities. 

Don’t worry, it’s not as hard as it sounds. In this episode, I’m going to show you how to write them in a way that truly reflects your unique voice and vision, and show you a few ways to make the process easier. 

We’ll talk about:
