Alternatives for Selling Your Art Other Than Instagram

Social media only tells you half the story. 

I know firsthand how easy it can be to scroll through Instagram, see other people selling their work, and wonder what you’re doing wrong because yours isn’t going fast enough. 

Can I let you in on a little secret? Just because the painting says SOLD doesn’t mean it was actually sold (from social media, that is). 

As any successful artist knows, the trick to selling your art lies in diversifying your channels. As in…not relying solely on Instagram to sell your work. When you see sold plastered on a picture of an artist’s work, just know that it’s not always because they found the lead online.

If you want to make money from your art (and I KNOW you can!), you need to switch up where you’re pitching it. You need some alternatives to selling your art on social media.

Where to sell your art (aside from social media)

In this episode, I really want to show you how to NOT put all your eggs in the social media basket. Social media is a great tool for connecting with other artists or collectors and listing your work for sale. Instagram is even one of my TOP sources for bringing in potential buyers!

But it shouldn’t be the one thing you’re relying on. So, in this episode, I’m going to show you a few practical alternatives you can use to sell your work, like:

• Commissions
• Teaching workshops or 1:1 sessions
• Art fairs
• And more!

Listen, I’m not saying you need to stop using social media to sell your work. I’m just saying…you gotta supplement it! And with these methods, I know you’ll be able to find that success you’re looking for.
